Monno Medical College & Hospital (MoMC&H) is an absolutely non-profitable concern of Monno Welfare Foundation, established in 2011. Former Chairman H.R Khan Monno, the founder of the institution, who dreamed of a quality medical college and advanced healthcare services, keeping in mind especially for the underprivileged people of the Manikganj district and neighboring areas. Monno Medical College & Hospital (MoMC&H) is located at Monno city, Gilondo, Manikganj. The academic building is facilitated with a ten storied building having a total floor space of 1, 46,166 sq.ft. with three spacious lifts.
The area of college campus is more than 13 acres of land out of which 7.29 acres have been registered in the name of Monno Medical College & Hospital (Reg. Deed No.: 2508 Date-15/10/2009, Mouza Name: Rathora, RS Khatian No.: 412, 89, 840 & others, RS Dag No.: 1203, 1201, 1200 & others, Mutation khatian No.: 761/2009-10). A lake inside the campus has made it a visually lucrative place for all.
City medical college offers 5 years MBBS course approved by ministry of health & family welfare, govt. of Bangladesh. Affiliated by university of Dhaka, recognized by Bangladesh medical & dental council (BMDC). City medical college is aimed to produce need based skilled community oriented doctors. Efforts will be given to help the students to gain an updated knowledge and to produce competent, committed and accountable doctors who will be able to lead the healthcare sector as leaders to fulfill the health problems of the community and to acquire strong background for future training and higher studies.

The Dhaka national medical college inherits her glorious predecessor the Dhaka National Medical Institute Hospital, which was established in 1925 as a part of Non-cooperation movement of the Indian Sub-continent against the British colonial rule, organized jointly by the Indian National Congress and the Indian Muslim League under the Leadership of Mahatma Gandhi, Mawlana Muhammad Ali and Mawlana Sawkat Ali. Along with other programs the Non-cooperation movement urged upon the People of the sub-continent to boycott educational institutions established and administered by British Govt.
And to establish National Schools, Colleges and Institutes for modern scientific education by the local people themselves. Accordingly two Medical Institute were established in the Bengal Province for producing National Doctors of modern medicine. One such Medical Institute was at Calcutta, named Calcutta National Medical Institute Hospital and the other at Dhaka, named Dhaka National Medical Institute Hospital.
